We don't need to rent a helicopter to enjoy the skyline—there are many places in Dallas where we can capture stunning aerial or skyline views, even with a drone or our phones.


1. Reunion Tower GeO-Deck


- Address: 300 Reunion Blvd E, Dallas, TX 75207


- Opening Hours: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM daily


- Tickets: $19 USD for adults, $9 USD for kids (ages 4–12), free for 3 and under


- Parking: Paid parking available nearby


- Tip: Try visiting before sunset to see the transition from day to night.


This 470-foot tower gives us a full 360-degree view of Downtown. There are high-powered telescopes, indoor and outdoor decks, and even interactive displays to learn more about what we're seeing.


2. Trinity Overlook Park

- Open 5:00 AM – 11:00 PM


- Free entry


- Best reached by car or Uber/Lyft


- Tip: Bring a wide-angle lens or drone to capture the entire skyline with the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge in the foreground.


Drone-Friendly Areas and Rules


If we're drone enthusiasts, we can take our shots from areas like Trinity River Levee Trail or Trammell Crow Park. These are open spaces with great skyline views and enough room to fly safely.


Drone Tips:


- Always fly under 400 ft


- Stay out of restricted airspace


- Avoid flying near Love Field or DFW airports


- Keep away from large crowds or private property


- Ideal flight time: 6:30–8:00 AM or 6:30–8:30 PM
